Your Spiritual Energy Can Help You Succeed

I’m not a religious person. At all. And don’t worry, I’m not about to talk about religion because 1) it’s such a polarizing topic, 2) it’s a matter of your own personal choice, and 3) that’s not why you’re here.

Although I’m not religious, I do strongly believe in nurturing a spiritual connection from within. I think it’s important that we all understand and are able to connect to spiritual energy or what I like to call, God energy—not to be confused with the God of any particular religion.

Our spiritual energy is what binds our souls to our bodies. It’s the manifestation of pure love, and it exists in us and around us.

Whether you believe in a higher power or deity of any sort is of no consequence, because you still have spiritual, or God, energy inside of and around you. I believe it’s the unexplainable part of the human condition that allows us to transcend the unthinkable and to accomplish the...

Celebrate Yourself

I’ve been working my ass off this week, and I’m so excited for what’s to come. Right now, as I’m writing this article, I’m preparing to host my first live training (webinar) for a few hundred people who want to hear what I have to say about starting a business. I’m super excited and ready to help them!

In the training, I’ll be teaching them all about the dropshipping business. This method makes starting a business super easy for people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to do so, so this is really important work to me.

I’ve had a few rough weeks, as of late, where I really felt like I was spinning my wheels in a few areas of my life and not really getting any traction.

So I wanted to take the time today to celebrate me, and I’m telling you this so that you can celebrate you. Whatever it is that you’ve been doing every day to reach your goal of being a better you, give yourself the credit you deserve for doing it.

I've Been Holding Out in My Business & I'm Going to Do Better

It’s time for a moment of self reflection. I want to start this article by apologizing to you. I’ve been holding out on you and this week, I realized just how much.

When I started my coaching business, I was kind of torn between whether I wanted to teach people how to actually start a business—like process steps—or be more of a motivational coach. I just knew that I wanted to share my passion and encourage more people to take the leap to become entrepreneurs.

We all know how much entrepreneurship can change entire communities for generations and generations. Plus, I personally know how depressing life can be when you work for someone else doing something you’re not passionate about with a dream of owning a business but aren’t sure how to make it happen.

So I thought encouraging people and teaching mindset related topics was enough. After this week, I realized it’s not. I’ve gotten such an amazing response to the webinar that I’m...

Are You a Brat In Life?

Have you ever seen a kid that you just want to slap the shit out of? No slapping kids in real life, but you can fantasize about slapping the bad ones. You know, the one’s you see in the store straight running over their mom or dad.

Little Chad, who’s running up and down the aisles grabbing everything, breaking shit, screaming at the top of his lungs, and then throwing an ugly ass tantrum any time his mom, embarrassingly, tries to correct his behavior. He’s a straight up brat, and nobody really likes his ass—not even his mom.

We’ve all seen that kid before. He expects everything to be given to him, because his parents cave whenever he asks for something. They give him everything!

He goes to school and acts a fool, because he’s not used to being told “no”. He’s disrespectful, arrogant, and entitled because he’s never seen a day of adversity in his little spoiled ass life.

You hate him, right? He’s a brat.

Why Improving Yourself Improves Your Business

There’s no shortage of self-help information available to the public these days. From Life Coaches like me, to audio books, to podcasts like Master Your Mission, there’s something out there to help anybody improve any aspect of their life.

But does all this stuff really work? Can working with a Life Coach make you a better person? And does becoming a better person even help you in entrepreneurship?

The short answers are yes, yes and yes. How? Of course I’m going to tell you. Here are some of the ways that self improvement can help you as an entrepreneur.

Self improvement helps you take responsibility for your actions.

Taking responsibility for your actions helps you become a better entrepreneur because it makes you more of a go-getter. People who blame others for their circumstances in life tend to be procrastinators who never take action. Owning your shit is one of the first steps to shifting your mindset from the victim, whoa is me mentality to a take charge...

What If Money Won't Make You Happy?

Have you ever wanted something so bad that you convinced yourself that you wouldn’t be happy or complete until you got that thing? You’ve probably experienced that. I know I have.

I remember buying my first car. It was a blue 1996 Mercury Sable. I laugh thinking about it now, but I remember how happy and proud I was when I bought it.

Prior to that, I had been driving a 1984 Ford Escort Pony that started and ran when it felt up to it. That Escort—which is a horrible name for a car, by the way—had one of those seat belts that automatically choked you across the chest as soon as you closed the door. It was an ugly beige color and I had to keep a bottle of anti-freeze in the trunk just in case it ran hot.

I really wanted a new car. I was tired of driving that Ford and having it break down on me in the middle of busy streets. I even recall that car stopping on the freeway once and being really creeped out by this weird guy pulling up on me asking...

You Are What You Believe

For years I wanted to lift weights and build a muscular physique, but it wasn’t until 2008—around the age of 30—that I tried. Since I was a kid I had been athletic, but I had also been skinny all my life. In 2008 I was still super skinny, and when I say super skinny, I mean Snoop Dogg in Baby Boy with that baggy wife beater on skinny.

In fact, I look back at pictures of myself around that time and I think I looked ridiculous because I was so freaking skinny. And I always thought that was just how I was built. I thought that I was just naturally skinny and there was really nothing I could do about it—it’s just who I was.

That year, 2008, I decided I would start lifting weights. It was my shot in the dark at finally getting bigger and having the muscular physique I always wanted. And to clarify, my sole purpose for working out at the time was to beef up and build muscle, not to go to the gym for my health (as crazy as that is).

I began to research...

Freddy Krueger Might Not Be Real, But Fear Is

Fear can be kind of like a bad horror movie. You know, the ones where the lady is running from the killer, through the woods, only to trip and fall, or she jumps into a car, fumbles with the keys and then the car won’t start.

In horror movies like that the characters struggle through the story for two whole hours, fighting off the killer at every turn. Some of the characters don’t make it, but there’s always that one or two who do.

By the end of the movie, they’re bruised and battered and most certainly, traumatized by what they’ve been through. Then they have that one last fight to the death with the killer, and it’s the most intense yet.

They hit him over the head with a lamp, but he’s still coming for them. They stab him in the leg with a butcher knife, but he gets up and keeps coming. They push him over the third floor railing, and he may be weak now, but he’s still trying to kill them. Then they douse him with gasoline...

Makeup Is to Your Face What Life is to Your Brain

Let’s talk about makeup for a second. Makeup is usually used to enhance a person’s looks. Even if you know nothing about makeup, you’ve probably seen enough of those trending beauty videos on social media, to know that some people are really great at highlighting certain features of their face and minimizing others—all with makeup.

Whether it’s for vanity, special fx, or any other reason, wearing makeup changes the way a person’s face appears in its natural state. That change could be a very subtle change or it could be one that’s extremely drastic.

Now, I don’t know very much about makeup—in fact, sometimes I can’t even tell when someone is wearing it—but I’m pretty sure I know one thing. Women who wear makeup usually wash it off their faces at the end of the day.

If they didn’t wash it off, and instead left it on, woke up the next day and added a new layer of makeup to what’s left...

When You Lack Confidence as an Entrepreneur, Here's What You Should Do

In yesterday’s episode of my daily podcast, Master Your Mission, I talked about how the lack of confidence can affect you as an entrepreneur. It can manifest itself in different ways and keep you stuck with the mindset that you can’t win.

Just to recap, here are some of the ways the lack of confidence can hold you back:

  1. You never take action.
  2. You second guess everything you do.
  3. You’re unable to stay committed.
  4. You take things too personal.
  5. You can’t take feedback.
  6. You miss out on great opportunities.
  7. You can’t stay focused.

You can listen to that episode in full here.

If you struggle with anything on that list, there’s a good chance you just need to work on building your confidence. And don’t feel bad, because everyone’s confidence wavers at different points in life. We all find ourselves in those moments where we have to build up our confidence at one time or another.

So let’s talk about what you can do to counter the effects...
