Your Spiritual Energy Can Help You Succeed

I’m not a religious person. At all. And don’t worry, I’m not about to talk about religion because 1) it’s such a polarizing topic, 2) it’s a matter of your own personal choice, and 3) that’s not why you’re here.

Although I’m not religious, I do strongly believe in nurturing a spiritual connection from within. I think it’s important that we all understand and are able to connect to spiritual energy or what I like to call, God energy — not to be confused with the God of any particular religion. 

Our spiritual energy is what binds our souls to our bodies. It’s the manifestation of pure love, and it exists in us and around us.

Whether you believe in a higher power or deity of any sort is of no consequence, because you still have spiritual, or God, energy inside of and around you. I believe it’s the unexplainable part of the human condition that allows us to transcend the unthinkable and to accomplish the unimaginable.

It’s the thing that allows people to move mountains and achieve greatness against all odds when their backs are against the wall and it looks like they should just give up. God energy is how a little black girl who grew up in the 30s and 40s in Stamps, Arkansas, and was raped at the age of 8, and who stopped talking for 5 years, and who even spent time as a sex worker, could end up being the great Dr. Maya Angelou.

God energy is what will lead you out of the darkness when you can’t see the light and will keep you going when you feel you have nothing left to give. God energy is the flicker of hope that burns in you and just won’t go out. 

It’s critical that we connect to it, nurture it, and use it to live our best lives in full alignment with our purpose, our truest selves, and our own peace. Knowing that God energy lives in you is the first step.

Understand, I am not talking religion here. I am talking about your spirit and the strength of your spirit. 

So if and when you feel like your back is against the wall, and there’s no way things will work out in your favor, remember that you have God energy coursing through your veins, beating in your heart, and magnifying your soul. It gives you strength unimaginable and allows you to rise up from the lowest of low points.

Use it to survive, use it to thrive and use it to catapult you to a level of success that feels uncomfortable to even think about! Then one day, you’ll look back in awe of what you were able to do, when it looked like you could do nothing.
