Money is NOT Evil!

I want to talk about something that I posted on my social media today. I posted it because I was thinking about a comment someone made on another post of mine while back.

It was a comment on a video I posted on my Instagram — I can’t remember what the video was — but someone commented on the video in agreement and said something like, “Yeah I agree. Money is the root of all evil”.

*blank stare*

I mean, first of all, whatever the hell I was talking about in the video, that person seriously misunderstood. I certainly didn’t mean to convey a negative message regarding money. Since then that comment has kind of bothered me and I’ve been wanting to talk about it here.

The reason is because so many people have been ingrained to believe that the meaning behind that saying is that money, itself, is evil. I’ve heard it time and time again.

It’s a shining example of how a limiting belief can keep you stuck in a poor person’s mindset. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want money. I mean, maybe you have no real drive to become a billionaire, but to want to be financially stable and comfortable with some extra, extra, EXTRA cushion seems pretty normal to me.

If you’ve convinced yourself that money is evil, think about where that belief came from. Did it come from someone who was broke?

The meaning of the saying, “Money is the root of all evil” is NOT that money is evil, but rather the reason PEOPLE do evil things is for money. Money is NOT evil. Hell, it’s not even the root of all evil. Sometimes people do evil shit for love or hate or obsession or just because.

Money is an inanimate object with no thoughts, feelings, or emotions. It can’t be evil. It can’t be anything.

Typically, people who believe that money is evil, just believe that they don’t deserve or can never have money and they use that saying as an appeasement. You should never believe that you deserve anything less than a life of financial security and freedom.

It’s beliefs like that one that we must be aware of because our beliefs and how we view things affect us more, as entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs, than we sometimes realize. Your mindset is really the first component of your success, so if you believe things like money is evil, you — subconsciously — also don’t want it in your life.

Check your mindset and change those beliefs that are holding you back. Doing so will ensure that you have an open mind when opportunities present themselves to you.

And I’m about to present an opportunity now.

If you want to start a business but you haven’t because you think you don’t have enough money to start one, I want to show you that you don’t need a lot of money to start an online business.
