66 Days of Bold Action

In the last four months, I’ve recorded 130 episodes of my podcast, published 122 articles here, and grown my business in the process. This all began, for me, when I decided that I wanted to start a business encouraging others to pursue their dreams in life and in entrepreneurship.

I had thought and thought about how I could reach my audience and how I could use what I had to get what I want. I knew that social media would be a powerful tool in sharing my message, but I needed to do more than just post on social media. A few ideas kept coming up. They were vlogging on YouTube, starting a podcast, and writing a blog.

All three of those ideas horrified me. Although I had experience making money online — in dropshipping — I had no experience putting myself on the line and being the face of my business like I would have to in order to execute those ideas. For a few weeks, I told myself that I couldn’t do it.

When no one was looking, I would try to record videos and secretly post them to YouTube, but I struggled with that because I criticized every single aspect of every single video. So much so, that I couldn’t make any progress.

I desperately wanted to get started with my new endeavor though, and since I was struggling with making videos, I decided a podcast might not be so bad after all. I thought starting a podcast would be less scary because it’s just my voice, right?

Wrong! I was still scared. I still struggled to pull the trigger, but I was determined to figure out a way to get over the fear and take action.

When I’m struggling in one aspect of life, I usually call on past experiences to remember lessons that I’ve learned that might help. So I thought about other things that I struggled with in the past due to fear, procrastination, or lack of motivation and the first thing that came up was working out.

Over a decade ago, I decided that I wanted to start working out. I hired a personal trainer and showed up every day, but I absolutely hated it at first. At the time, I hadn’t really been physically active since high school and I just wasn’t feeling it.

Since I was paying a pretty penny for my training, I showed up every day and did what I was told, and eventually something changed. Working out became a habit in my life and I began to love it. Ever since then, working out has become a necessary part of my world — like if I couldn’t work out, I’d lose my mind!

Remembering that experience gave me a genius idea. I remembered a book that I read that I found really intriguing — The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. I thought if I could treat doing my podcast like I treated working out— do it until it becomes a habit — the fear would eventually go away and I’d be able to get my message out.

I was also horribly afraid of sharing my ideas through my blog and through posting videos on my social media. The self doubt was real! I had told myself that no one wanted to hear what I have to say and I would sound stupid, so I didn’t want my face anywhere online.

Plus I’m an Xennial, so we’re not as open to living out our lives on social media as Millenials. We still like our privacy.

But I said, “Fuck it. I’m starting a podcast, a blog, and I’m putting videos on social media to get my message out!”

Now, research shows that it takes 66 days to create a habit, so I challenged myself to do at least one of these every single day for 66 days. You can hear more about my entire journey in the One Bold Action per Day episodes of my podcast

I ended up recording my podcast every single day, no matter what, for 66 days, and the experience changed me forever. It became such an easy thing for me to do that I never stopped recording my podcast daily, and now I’m on episode 131.

In essence, the entire experience made me much more confident in my ability and helped me to get better at something that I sucked at in the beginning. The experience also has allowed me to create an amount of content that it takes most people months, if not years, to create.

So I’ve gotten more done, I’m much more confident and I’m better at what I do, and my business has grown as a result. Now, I want to teach other people the process that I followed and the techniques that I learned.

That’s why I created my Power Your Success Group Coaching Program. I want to help you put your fears aside, stop procrastinating, get motivated, and take action to accomplish the goals that you keep putting off. That goal could be related to entrepreneurship or something you just want to accomplish in life.

In this program, I’ll be using my training as a Certified Life Coach to coach you through the entire process of removing the mental blocks that have been keeping you from progressing. We’ll meet online once a week, as a group, to have in depth discussions about the process.

You’ll be pushed beyond your comfort zone, but you’ll have the full support of me and your fellow group members. It will be a transformative experience that will help you achieve more in 10 weeks than you have in the last 10 months. If you’d like to enroll, click the link below and grab your spot in my free Masterclass where I’ll tell you more about it.

In addition to that, I’m ready to challenge myself to do something else that will help me be a better person and a better entrepreneur so I’m bringing back my #OneBoldActionPerDayChallenge. This time, I want you to help me decide what I should do.

Here are the choices:

A) Wake up every morning at 4 am.

B) Go Live every day on social media.

C) Introduce myself to someone new every day.

Go to my social media and vote. The action that gets the most votes will be what I do every single day for the 66 days. You can vote until the end of next week, and I’ll announce the winner. (I’m kind of nervous about this.)

I want you to get involved too! You can enroll in my Power Your Success Group Coaching Program, or if you aren’t ready for that just yet, you can download a FREE copy of my 66 Days of Bold Action Daily Planner and follow the instructions in it. Just click the link below to grab yours. Again, it’s free so you might as well get one!

I hope you’re down! If you are, be sure to find me on Instagram or Facebook and let me know.
